Diffusing or vaporising
Create a healthy, pleasant aromatic environment with a diffuser or vaporiser.
We recommend ultrasonic diffusers; utilising the latest technology, ultrasonic diffusers retain the integrity of essential oils and release a cool mist vapour that can be safely touched.
Safe for the entire family and suitable for use in children’s bedrooms.
Directions: Simply add water to the chamber of the diffuser and add 6-10 drops of your chosen essential oil/s.
Bath
A warm aromatic bath is a luxurious form of therapy for the mind and body. It will ease tired and sore muscles after physical activity. An aromatic bath
is also very relaxing and one of the best ways to de-stress.
Directions: Mix 6-10 drops of essential oil with dispersant and add the mixture to to warm bath water. Optional: add Epsom salts.
Massage
Massage is an effective way to use essential oils as it involves all aspects of aromatherapy and communicates through both touch and smell.
Directions: Combine essential oils with Springfields Unscented Jojoba Cream. Adults: add 1 drop of essential oil per 2gms of cream or simply choose from our ready-to-go Massage and Body Oil Blends.
Spritz
The natural way to create an air freshener or perfume.
Directions: Mix 10 drops of essential oil or an essential oil blend with 10 drops of dispersant and add the mixture to a 250 ml spray bottle. Fill the bottle with water and shake lightly before use. An antiseptic spray can be made
using Tea Tree/Lavender essential oil.
Compress
A cool/hot compress offers great relief for aching muscles.
Directions: Mix 6 drops of essential oil with 6 drops of dispersant then add the mixture to a bowl of cool/hot water. Soak a towel in the water, squeeze out, and press onto the treatment area; repeat if desired.
Skin care
Many essential oils are excellent for treating skin, delivering emollient (moisturising) and cicatrisant (skin healing) benefits.
Directions: Simply add a few drops of essential into Springfields Unscented Jojoba Cream. This cream is enriched with a generous amount of Jojoba oil to deeply moisturise and soothe skin and can be used for the face and body
Dry skin: Neroli, Cedarwood, Lavender, Patchouli, Sandalwood.
Normal skin: Geranium, Jasmine, Lavender, Rose.
Oily skin: Lime, Grapefruit, Cypress, Juniper, Ylang Ylang.
Mature skin: Frankincense, Geranium, Rose, Neroli, Patchouli.
